Thailand in 15 Days: Krabi

Surrounded by breathtaking limestone karsts that adds excitement  to not so easily accessible  amazing beaches and serpentine  mangrove   forests , Krabi along the Thailand's Andaman coast is home to a racial, religious and gender diverse community of Buddhist Thais, Chinese Thais, Muslims, and Thai Sea Gypsies who generously extend a very warm Thai hospitality to visitors.   As for visitors,  they are mostly Europeans, Chinese, and Russians on package holidays here, along with the occasional American, Arab, Indian or other Asian travelers. This place in one way is a crazy tribute to alcohol, the scantily dressed, and the massage trade. The fact that the predominant Muslim community in this area puts up with all this is one of Krabi’s most perplexing features.
